A QR code is a square barcode that any phone camera can read instantly. The QR Code Generator turns a link, a wifi password, a contact card or a message into a scannable code in seconds — entirely inside your browser, with nothing uploaded to any server. Choose the type of content, pick colours that will actually scan, and download the result as PNG or SVG for printing.
How it works
Pick the type of content (link, text, wifi, contact, phone, SMS or email) and fill in the fields. The generator builds the standard payload — for example a wifi code contains the network name, password and security type — then renders it as a QR matrix with the error-correction level you chose. Higher error correction (Q or H) keeps the code scannable when it is printed on a curved or damaged surface. Use the colour pickers to set foreground and background; a built-in contrast check warns you when the two are too similar to scan reliably.

Frequently asked questions
Will the QR code scan if it is printed small?
Print it at least 2–3 cm across, keep a quiet zone (empty margin) around it, and use dark-on-light colours with good contrast. The larger the code and the higher the error-correction level, the more reliably it scans.
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
Static codes (this tool) store the content directly in the pattern — they cannot be changed once printed. Dynamic codes point to a short link that can be re-targeted later, but they need an online service. For printed material, static is fine as long as the destination is stable.
Why do some codes scan even when they are damaged?
QR codes store redundancy through error correction. Level L restores about 7% of a damaged code, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. That is why the level matters: more redundancy means a bigger but sturdier code.
Is my wifi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is generated locally in your browser and the wifi password never leaves your device. Do not paste a wifi password into an online QR service you do not trust.
Can I make a payment QR code with this tool?
No — payment QR codes (KHQR) have a special format. Use the KHQR Generator instead, which creates codes your bank account can receive payments through.
