About weather in Cambodia

Phnom Penh is the capital and largest city of Cambodia, situated at the confluence of the Tonlé Sap and Mekong rivers. The city has been the national capital since the mid-19th century and is the country's political, economic, and cultural centre. Its location in the central lowlands gives it a typical tropical savanna climate with two main seasons: a wet season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. Temperatures in Phnom Penh are high year-round. Average daily maxima usually range from the low 30s °C in the wet season to the mid-30s °C in the hot, dry months (March–May). Night-time minima rarely fall below the low 20s °C. Humidity is high, especially during the wet season when the southwest monsoon brings heavy rain and occasional thunderstorms. The wettest months are typically September and October, when the Tonlé Sap and Mekong systems are at their peak and flooding can affect low-lying areas. The dry season is sunnier and less humid, with December to February often feeling relatively comfortable. From March until the rains break (usually in May), heat and humidity build and it can feel very hot. Checking the current weather in Phnom Penh is useful for planning commutes, outdoor activities, and travel. This free tool provides up-to-date conditions—temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind, and observation time—for the capital. No signup required.
