About this tool

This page lists official daily reference exchange rates for Cambodian market participants. Alongside Cambodian riel (KHR) and widely used currencies such as US dollars (USD) and Vietnamese đồng (VND), the table quotes many crosses so you can see bid, ask, and average figures in one place. Use these rates for budgeting, bookkeeping, invoicing benchmarks, journalism, classroom teaching, travel planning—or any scenario where "what was the reference rate on date X?" is the question. Figures are informational; commercial banks and money changers add margins, so negotiated or counter rates can differ slightly from the published bulletin. Users often use this mirror for planning, reporting, or comparing figures with the official published table. The "Updated" line shows when the mirrored data last changed on our side.

How it works

Pick a date using the calendar. The API returns the bulletin for that business day whenever it exists in our database; otherwise we fall back to the latest stored snapshot while ingestion catches up. The table follows standard terminology: Unit shows how foreign currency scales in the bulletin (often 1, sometimes 100 for small units such as yen). Bid and Ask are the reference anchor prices per that unit versus riel where applicable; Average summarizes the midpoint. English and Khmer labels follow the locale you choose on the site. Below the table you will find links to the Official Exchange Rate PDF and Official Cross Rate PDF—the same downloads promoted on the official economics pages—and a Phnom Penh "Updated … ICT" line explaining when our mirrored row last changed. Verify on the official source directly when compliance demands the authoritative source.

Use cases

  • Reviewing Cambodia's reference FX table for USD, EUR, GBP, THB, VND, and other majors on a chosen date.
  • Comparing bid/ask/average anchors before negotiating trade or treasury amounts in KHR or USD.
  • Pulling archival daily rates while auditing historical invoices or bookkeeping entries denominated in multiple currencies.
  • Teaching economics or ASEAN finance using an accessible mirror of Cambodia's statutory reference rates.
  • Opening the English PDF bulletin directly alongside the searchable table.

Frequently asked questions

  • Will my bank use these exact numbers?

No. The daily reference exchange rates are published as guidance. Banks and money changers set their own buying and selling rates, so they can differ from the reference table.

  • What does the Unit column mean?

It is the scaling used for that row (for example 1 unit of currency, or 100 for some small-denomination currencies). Read bid, ask, and average together with that unit, as on the published bulletin.

  • Can I view past dates?

You can pick any date the calendar allows. We only show dates for which we have stored data; the available range comes from our database.

  • Does Cambodia use USD and KHR?

Yes. Both are widely used. The reference table lists rates for KHR and foreign currencies; this page reflects what is published for the date you select.

  • Who publishes the official rates?

The National Bank of Cambodia. Their English exchange rate page is linked from this tool. For official filings or disputes, rely on the authoritative source.

Data and accuracy

Figures come from Cambodia's official English economic publications. We hydrate our database through automated jobs and show an Updated line in Phnom Penh ICT time so you can see when our mirrored snapshot last changed. Connectivity, parsing, CDN caching, late PDF uploads, Cambodia public holidays affecting publishing, or template edits can cause brief mismatches—for mission-critical filings use the authoritative page at https://www.nbc.gov.kh/english/economic_research/exchange_rate.php.

This tool is free, needs no signup, and pairs with our Currency converter when you want quick hypothetical conversions from the same reference data.
