About this tool
The Job Offer Comparison Calculator helps you compare 2-3 Cambodia employment offers by net take-home cash, guaranteed and estimated bonuses, user-valued benefits, work hours, leave, and recurring commute costs — rather than comparing headline gross salary alone. All data stays in your browser.
How it works
Enter shared tax parameters (residency, dependents, spouse, NSSF inclusion) and per-offer details: gross pay and period, guaranteed and estimated bonuses, monthly allowances, user-valued annual benefits, recurring monthly costs, weekly hours, workdays, and annual leave. The tool computes TOS and NSSF from the same audited core as the salary tax and NSSF calculators, normalizes all offers to monthly/annual KHR, separates guaranteed cash from estimated/conditional cash and subjective benefits, and shows effective net cash per working hour. The working-hour denominator is: (52 weeks − floor(leave days / 7)) × hours per week. KHR is authoritative for all tax calculations; USD display uses your entered exchange rate.
Use cases
- Comparing two job offers with different gross salaries and bonus structures
- Evaluating whether a higher gross offer with longer hours is worth it per working hour
- Factoring in commute costs and allowances when choosing between employers
- Understanding the tax impact of residency status and dependents across offers
- Separating guaranteed cash from estimated/conditional bonuses for realistic planning
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool tell me which offer is the "best"?
No. The tool shows factual deltas between offers but never labels a subjective overall winner. Guaranteed cash, estimated/conditional cash, and user-valued benefits are kept separate because they have different levels of certainty. You must weigh them yourself based on your risk tolerance and personal valuation of benefits.
How is net cash per working hour calculated?
Annual net after recurring work costs divided by annual working hours. Annual working hours = (52 weeks − floor(annual leave days / 7)) × hours per week. If hours per week is zero or negative, the result is shown as "N/A" rather than Infinity or a guessed default.
Are the TOS and NSSF deductions accurate?
Yes. The tool uses the same audited calculation core as the salary tax calculator and NSSF calculator. Enter the gross pay, residency, dependents, and spouse status, and TOS and employee NSSF are calculated automatically. Employer NSSF is shown separately and is not deducted from employee take-home.
Is my salary data stored or sent to a server?
No. All inputs and calculations stay in your browser. The tool does not persist offers, collect salary submissions, or call any API. AppEventHub receives only non-sensitive action names (compare, load_sample, reset) — never compensation, employer labels, benefits, hours, or tax details.
Data and accuracy
